Minds Interrupted: Stories of Lives Affected by Mental Illness is a project of the Compassionate Touch Network, a nonprofit organization promoting community health and social advocacy through education, healing and the arts.
Since 2008, Minds Interrupted has been addressing a key challenge that exists in every community across the country—the stigma of mental illness. Minds Interrupted gives voice to people impacted by mental illness. We utilize writing workshops and monologue presentations to educate communities. Showcasing these stories in the dramatic setting of a theater allows for greater public access as well as gives people with an illness and families the respect they deserve.
